It was a great loss when Nida Blanca died; a loss that was multiplied tenfold with the way she passed from this Earth. Her funeral alone can be considered as a sign of how her death affected our country. The sad event was attended by scores of mourners, from the high and mighty of politics to the stalwarts of showbiz all the way to the common “tao”. Nida Blanca’s burial on the other hand was dominated by her loyal fans who dotted the sidelines of the funeral procession all the way to the cemetery.
Indeed, Nida Blanca’s brutal passing has etched itself in the minds of almost every Filipino, it is sad though, that a slew of stupid conspiracy theories has popped up regarding her brutal murder. Some say that it was the driver, who after getting turned down in an attempt to borrow money, decided to stalk and kill Nida Blanca. Another deals with an illicit love triangle that involves two lesbians. Then there’s that harebrained theory that all this is just a move that was orchestrated by Erap himself to lessen the publics interest in his plunder trial. But then there’s this other theory that involves the husband. It is alleged that Nida Blanca disinherited him in her last will and testament. This prompted the guy to hatch a plan that will get him back on the inheritance list, a plan that obviously went bad. Of course all this was all theory until the self-confessed killer went public. The mastermind, according to the suspect, is non other than the husband. Now what was once a conspiracy theory is now a credible angle in the investigation. According to the self-confessed killer, he killed Nida Blanca in collusion with her hubby and two other lesbians. The killer produced the murder weapon and a detailed list of events that led to the murder. This paints Nida’s husband in a corner. To me, he has a credible motive to commit the murder.
