The Department of Justice has issued a subpoena againtst former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Baron Geisler for the Acts of Lasciviousness filed against him by Patrizha Maree Aguila Martinez, daughter of former matinee idol William Martinez and former co-housemate Yayo Aguila.

This, after the young actor allegedly fondled the breast of the Martinez daughter, and lured her into having sex after they met at the Fiamma Bar on Jupiter Street in Makati City last April 25. Geisler was said to be drunk at the time.

GMANews reports that the Martinezs are reported to be asking 5 million pesos in damages from Geisler.

It seems that Optical Media Board Chairman and TV host Edu Manzano is all thumbs up when it comes to Angel Locsin who has been rumored to be the latest girlfriend of his son, Luis. Edu does not hold back and smilingly says, “I like her (Angel). She is very, very nice, very behaved. And I can see her good influence on my son.” He adds that he loves his son so much that he will never go against the happiness of Luis.

ABS-CBN has acquired the rights to air Fear Factor, the Philippines Edition. As of now there is no date yet when will be this reality TV show will air on kapamilya channel. Right now Filipino fear factor followers are wondering who will be the host for the show and how much is the prize money for the winner?

Twenty three Year old Angel Locsin is the cover for Maxim Magazine for May 2008. Maxim Philippines’ readers should not expect too much from Locsin’s photos inside the mag as she did not show more skins as many people expected. But she’s still an angel for her fans.

People’s champ Manny Pacquiao has already began training in his hometown General Santos City. Pacquiao also confirms that this is in preparation for his fight with WBC Light Weight Champion David Diaz, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 28, 2008.

Pacquiao is scheduled to leave for America on May 10 where he will continue his training at the Wild Card Gym.

It’s official! ABS-CBN Kapamilya network yesterday announced Bea Alonso as the Pinoy Betty La Fea. This came after controversies with Regine Velasquez resigning from GMA7’s SOP, wanting to get the role. Other actresses who were rumored to be considered as Betty are Anne Curtis (who did Kampanerang Kuba) and Kim Chui, who will be doing the Pinoy version of the koreanovela My Girl.

Betty La Fea, or “Yo soy Betty, la fea” is a telenovela from Colombia, produced by RCN network. A number of versions have already been produced in different countries, most recent of which is US’ Ugly Betty.

The much anticipated Grand Theft Auto 4 sold about 4 millions copies of the game on its first day of launching. Total copies sold in the first 5 day of opening went up to 6 million, grossing the gaming company Rockstar some $500 million on the first week.

The game generated an estimated revenue of $390 million on day 1, exceeding Halo 3´s $280 million launch week. Worldwide sales split 4:3 in favor of the Xbox 360 while Sony’ Playstation 3 version saw a higher attach rate.

Grand Theft Auto IV is considered the most expensive game of all time, with estimated development costs of $100 million. The game is likely to hit the 10 million units sales mark during the next months.

Comedy King Dolphy and Box-Office drawer Vic Sotto will star in one movie, tentatively titled “Dobol Trobol”.  Vic considers working with the comedy king in a film  as a dream come true.  Their respective real life love partners, Zsazsa Padilla and Pia Guanio have both agreed to do cameo roles in what could be considered a blockbuster movie of the year.  

A lady postmaster at Pasig Central Post Office recently won four gold medals in the 2008 Asian Power-lifting Championship held in Tashkent Uzbekistan.  Elena “Lily” Pecante, 43, posted in the Asian Mastrs Record on benchpress lifting 125 kilos. During the World Masters Powerlifting Championship held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, Lily made a new record in the under-90 kilogram class  when she lifted 210 kilos and placed 16th , breaking her own record of lifting 200.5 kilos. Considered one of the strongest in the world, Pecante is noted to have lifted 474 lbs. on deadlift.

FHM Sexiest Woman Katrina Halili will play lead in GMA 7’s Sine Novela, Magdusa Ka, opposite Best Actor awardee Dennis Trillo.

The Sine Novela is Katrina’s biggest break as a lead, doing away from the kontravida and sexy roles she’s been playing in the past. Katrina thanks Director Mario J. delos Reyes for helping her get “out of the shell”, to learn drama, to be more effective in her character. Katrina also mentioned that she’d be glad to leave the sexy roles to fellow Starstruck finalist, Iwa Moto.
