Minimum fares in public jeepneys today increase from P7.50 to P8.00; ordinary buses from P8.00 to P9.00; and air-conditioned buses, from P10.00 to P11.50.

This after LTFRB Chairman Thompson Lantion signed a directive last Sunday on the provisional increase of fares in NCR, Reg.3 Central Luzon, and Reg. 4 Calabarzon and Mimaro, which will be effective on May 21.

In Metro Manila, minimum fares in public utility jeepneys will be increased to P8.00 from P7.50. Fares in ordinary buses will be raised to P9.00 from P8.00. For air-conditioned buses, it will be P11.50 from P10.00. The fare hike will only be on minimum fares for the first kilometers of travel, not to the succeeding kilometers.

Barkley allegedly loaned P100,000 from the casino in October last year but has failed to settle the debt up to now. Barkley played 13 times in the NBA All Star and presently works with TNT Television as a sports commentator.

Heart Evangelista will no longer play as daughter of Ai-ai delas Alas in “Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat”, sequel to “Tanging Ina” produced by ABS-CBN.  The reason is that Heart recently moved to GMA 7.  However, Marvin Agustin (another ‘transferee’ to GMA 7 was allowed to be cast in this Wenn Derama film.  Both Heart and Marvin played children of Ai-ai in the first “Tanging …” movie. By August this year, Ai-ai is expected to start shooting her movie with ex-president Erap Estrada.

Anak Pawis partylist Ka Beltran died after falling from the rooftop  of his home in Bulacan this morning at  exactly 11:48AM thats according to the attending Doctor. He was 75.

Mega-daughter KC Concepcion has finished recording her debut album, which would feature eleven songs, including ”Imagine” by John Lennon and ”Must Have Been Love” by Roxette.

The album would showcase the young talent, playing percussion. It is produced and will be released by Sony BMG.
