Rainn Wilson has revealed to MTV that he has landed a small role in director Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers 2. Wilson will join returning stars Shia La Beouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro in the action flick — his first role in a big-budget franchise — playing one of La Beouf’s college professors. Discussions with Jonah Hill for another small role did not pan out. Wilson stars on NBC’s The Office. He recently appeared in Juno and next stars in The Rocker, which opens Aug. 1. The writer-actor is currently working on the screenplay for Bonzai Shadowhands with Juno director Jason Reitman.

Apple software plans to disable iPhones to prevent unauthorized unlocking
Apple said it plans to make “permanently inoperable” the devices of thousands of iPhone owners who hack their expensive gadgets in order to unlock it for use with other mobile carriers and to run a host of unsupported programs. Apple issued a statement saying many of the unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs caused “irreparable damage” to the device’s software. Apple requires iPhone owners to take out a lengthy contract with AT&T in the United States but there are a number of programs on the net that unlock the device for use with other networks.

Arnel Pineda, with the Journey, rocked Ellen deGeneres last Wednesday, when the band performed live on the talkshow “Ellen”. Arnel is the Filipino frontman for Journey, who hit gold when the band got him for the job after seeing his performances in YouTube. They were given a standing ovation.

KC Concepcion is Richard Gutierrez’ long time crush.

This was revealed by no less than Richard’s twin brother, Raymond, in an interview conducted by PEP. The infatuation is said to have struck Richard since highschool, when KC and Richard was introduced in a soiree by a common friend.

KC and Richard are set to do two films together, the first one with Star Cinema, and the other with GMA Films.
