Here is the complete list of winners of the 29th Luna Awards (2011) held last night at the Quezon Hall of the Quezon City Sports Club and organized by the Film Academy of the Philippines:
The Yahoo! OMG! Awards happened at Republiq Club, Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila awarded chosen actors and actresses as well as musicians and host in the showbiz industry in various categories.

Teen superstar Justin Bieber tied with rapper Eminem in taking home 6 trophies from the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.
Bieber’s awards included trophies for Top New Artist, Top Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Digital Media Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Streaming Song at his first-ever trip to the show. Meanwhile, veteran Eminem (who was not in Las Vegas for the show) nabbed Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Song and Top Rap Album for his smash comeback, Recovery.
Got three awards each from Billboard were Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Usher, Mumford & Sons and Cruz.

This sums up the 2010 winners of PMPC Star Awards for Television.
Seven Asians were honoured for their selfless and devoted agenda in furthering the welfare of their fellowmen through the 2010 Ramon Magsaysay Award.
President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III lead the presentation of awards. He also had his congratulatory speech at the end of the program.
The recipients of the highly-coveted award are Tadatoshi Akiba of Japan, Huo Daishan of China, Pan Yue and Fu Qiping both from China, A.H.M. Noman Khan from Bangladesh, and Christopher and Ma. Victoria Bernido represents our country.
The award which remembers the late president of the Philippines, Ramon Magsaysay, is the counterpart of the prestigious Nobel Prize. This annual event was organized by the Ramon Magsaysay Awards Foundation lead by its Board of Trustees.
The awardees are chosen for their unrelenting advocacy of uplifting their nation as well as the whole Asia.
Akiba is a three-term mayor of Japan who pursye the stopping of nuclear proliferation. Daishan is a journalist who take care of the Huai River which benefits million of residents of China. While Khan’s advocacy is for the people with disability, Pan Yue and Fu Qiping strengthen environmental protection. Meanwhile, the Bernido couple fosters quality education through science and technology.
All of them except for Pan Yue and Fu Qiping accepted the award at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Reports said they have their personal reasons for not attending the ceremony.
Efren Peñaflorida was nominated for CNN’S 2009 Hero of the Year several weeks ago. He was nominated for he started a “pushcart classroom” in the Philippines to bring education to poor children and to move them away from being a gang member.
Today, CNN announced the winner and awarded to our beloved Efren Peñaflorida. He will receive $100,000 to continue his work with the Dynamic Teen Company and was selected after seven weeks of online voting at CNN.com. More than 2.75 million votes were cast.
Our very own Pinay Supermodel Charo Ronquillo makes it to the Top 10 list of Ford’s Supermodel of the World as she ranked no. 4 in the list. Charo Ronquillo hails from Laguna and she’s been competing in the modelling world since 2005. Charo continues to make waves in the international fashion scene as she currently appears in a huge billboard advertisement for Target in downtown Los Angeles, as well as in Express Boutiques. She will soon be gracing the covers of Vogue India.
Our very own pool masters Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco “Django” Bustamante bags the 2009 World Cup of Pool held last Sunday at the SM City North Annex in Quezon City. The two beat Germans Ralf Souquet and Thorsten Hohmann in a score of 11-9 to capture their second title that they got last 2006. The Pinoy Billiard champions took home the top $ 60,000 as their prize. Congratulations!

1st MTRCB TV Awards will be held tonight at the Cinema 5, Gateway, Araneta Center. Headed by its Chairman Consoliza Laguardia.The awards night will feature Nine Awarding Categories namely; News, Public Affairs Show, Educational Show, Children’s Show, Reality Show, Comedy Show,Talent Show, Drama Show and Teleserye. Chairperson Laguardia will also give special and individual awards including MTRCB Lifetime Achievement Award, Special Award for Promoting Nation-Building, Special Award for Promoting Family Values and Solidarity; Special Award for Promoting Moral Values; Special Award for Promoting Education for the Marginalized; Best Male Host, Best Female Host, Best Actor, and Best Actress. The event will be hosted by former OMB Chairman Edu Manzano.
The Annual Gawad Geny Lopez, Bayaning Pilipino awards will grace once again on its 12th year of honoring our Filipino heroes for their unconditional sacrifices for our country and their contributions for the welfare of others. Its been 12 years since ABS-CBN Chairman Emeritus Eugenio Lopez launched the said award giving body with the help of the UGAT Foundation headed by Father Nilo Tanalega, SJ. This year, the event will be hosted by Mariel Rodriguez, Kim Atienza and Anthony Taberna, with performances from Kapamilya Stars and ABS-CBN’s Homegrown talents. The 12th Gawad Geny Lopez Bayaning Pilipino Awards 2009 airs this Sunday, on Sunday’s Best, after TV Patrol Linggo.
