The Board of Accountancy announced the result of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last Tuesday that 2,130 out of 5,259 or 40.50% passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPA) given this month.

The result was released one day after the last day of exams. Congratulations to the new accountants.

Good news to all the aspiring OFW’s who wants to work abroad! Labor and Employment Secretary Marianito Roque recently confirmed that they will be conducting free pre-employment orientation seminars for would-be OFW’s at selected SM malls to educate them on the rigors of working in a foreign environment. The undertaking is made possible with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the DoLE-POEA and the SM Retail, Inc. and SM Prime Holdings Inc. Roque also added that it will empower the overseas workers to be vigilant especially against illegal recruiters and will eventually help them cope with the various challenges of overseas work. The said seminar was supported by the Department of Labor and Employment ( DOLE ) with the help of Philippine Overseas and Employment Administration ( POEA ). Don’t miss the chance to be trained. Enchong Dee finally graduated from College inspite of his busy schedules in showbiz and his swimming career. It was held at the PICC in Pasay City. Enchong graduated from Bachelor of Arts Major in Developmental Studies at the De la Salle University. He also received the Best Athlete of the Year award. Over 6,000 examineers are waiting for the final results of the Philippine Bar Exams held last year (September 2008). Of that number, only 1,310 passers made it to the list.
The Supreme Court is said to release the results this 6PM to the public. The results will be posted here so stay tune.

The results of the Marine Engineer Officers Licensure Exam have now been released. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) also announced that of the 2,356 who took the exam, 1,349 passed.
