Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2008n Jennifer Barrientos will be competing against 79 other women from different countries vying for the Miss Universe 2008 Crown. The 57th Miss Universe Beauty Pageant will be held at the Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang, Vietnam this coming July 14, 2008.

Jennifer is a 22-year old, 5′8 beauty, and UST Tourism graduate from San Mateo, Rizal.

In celebration of the Philippine Environment Month, there will be a BagatHangin Musikahan Battle of the Bands this Sunday, June 29, at 1pm, at the SM North EDSA Activity Center. Guest performers are Session Road, Akafellas, and Lou Bonnevie. A public screening of the GMA7 kapuso documentary, Signos: Banta ng Nagbabagang Klima, will also be shown, with investigative reporter Raffy Tima as guest.

The event is jointly organized by EMB-DENR, ECAP-USAID, LCP, Dimitri Productions, SM North EDSA, and GMA Network. Sponsors are Nestle Philippines and PLDT Landline Plus. Open to the public.
