Producers of Michael Jackson’s “This Is It ” movie will be giving an exclusive two-week special engagement for the Filipino fans who have been close to the heart of the King of Pop. The film features a consummate performer working with and guiding singers, dancers, band members, choreographers, special effects creators and countless other creative members of the team as they assemble the historic concert event. Included in the movie was the never before seen videos of MJ preparing for his upcoming concert event that unfortunately ended up with his sudden death last June 25, 2009. Michael Jackson’s “This is It” movie premieres October 28, 2009, in Cinemas worldwide.

Dubbed as the ” Black Market “, it will feature four documentaries from four of the highly-acclaimed journalists of GMA News and Current Affairs, Howie Severino, Jay Taruc, Sandra Aguinaldo and Kara David. Sandra Aguinaldo was the first to feature the tactics of hold-uppers Christian and Marlon. The two belonged to an 8-member group of hold uppers as they hold up jeepneys and taxis. A Documentary about the MV Doña Paz tragedy, is set to premiere on the National Geographic Channel tonight, August 25 at 8pm. The documentary took three years in the making, produced by Andrew Roque and directed by Yam Laranas ( from Sigaw and The Echo ). Get to see what happened on that day of December 20, 1987, where passenger ship MV Doña Paz collided with an oil tanker, MT Vector, off Mindoro Island in the Philippines. Almost 5,000 passengers died in the tragedy that was called the world’s worst peacetime maritime disaster. Don’t miss this one of a kind documentary that is a proudly- Filipino made.

A 52- minute docu-drama of former Senator Benigno ” Ninoy ” Aquino Jr. entitled ” The Last Journey of Ninoy ” : As Told Through the Last Interview of Cory ” will be screened this coming August 21, 2009 at the Power Plant Mall. This also marks Ninoy’s 26th death anniversary. The short film will feature his last few days in Boston Massachusetts that happened from August 12 up to his comeback in Manila on August 21,1983 where he was shot to death. It was produced by Unitel Productions with the help of the Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Foundation. It will also feature an interview with the late President Cory Aquino that happened last March 2009 before she died last August 1. Bam Aquino, the former Senator’s nephew, will portray Ninoy’s role in the said docu-drama film. Broadcast Journalist Jay Taruc will feature the Sagip Baseball Team in I-Witness tonight. The team was formed through Gawad Kalinga , composed of kids who lived at the Smokey Mountains. They were trained to become the next baseball champions in the future. Gawad Kalinga also aims to save this children from engaging in illegal vices and send them off to streets. The team has been competing for sometime now as they joined the 2009 Little League Philippines but unfortunately, they didn’t make it to the final round as a well-trained and well-equipped private school beat them.
