Charice Pempengco’s guesting in Oprah will be premiered by Studio 23 tomorrow, July 23, Wednesday, at 7:30 pm.

The young diva, who appears in the famous talk show as among the world’s smartest kids, will be singing Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing.

The country’s longest running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya, will be moved to a new timeslot — that’s Saturday, right after Pinoy Dream Academy.

No less than Gretchen Barretto will open the anthology in its new slot, as it celebrates its 17th anniversary. Gretchen plays the wife of a poor man, played by Tonton Gutierrez, and will also star Philip Salvador, as the town mayor.

Debut rating for the brand new primetime tv show Codename Asero got a high rating of 40.1% and 2nd to Dyesebel last July 14, 2008.

Meanwhile Iisa Pa Lamang starred Claundine Barretto, Gabby Concepcion, Diether Ocampo and Angelica Panganiban debut with 24.3% rating to take the number 7th spot.

Kidnap, the ABS-CBN documentary on wht happened to its senior correspondent Ces Drilon, Cameraman Jimmy Encarnacion, and Assistant Cameraman Angelo Valderama while in Sulu, will air tonight, July 13, 2008 at 10pm at the kapamilya network.

New kapuso star Heart Evangelista reportedly had forgotten her lines and had to shoot a scene twice. Heart was said to have gotten so nervous with her first kissing scene for the latest kapuso show, Codename Asero, with GMA 7’s main man, Richard Gutierrez.

Only nine hopefuls remain in GMA kapuso network’s “Pinoy Idol”. The remaining contestants are: Penelope, Jayann Bautista, Gretchen Espina, Sue Ellen, Ram Chaves, Kid Camaya, Daryl Celis, Warren Antig, and Toffer Rei.

PBB Teen Edition Plus housemate Nicole is set to play “the real Hannah” in the pinoy adaptation of the koreanovela “My Girl” where PBB Teen Edition winner Kim Chiu plays lead Jasmine. Nicole will be playing the real cousin of Julian, played by Gerald Anderson.

GMA kapuso Starstruck graduate, and now ABS-CBN kapamilya star Cristine Reyes will be launched as a sexy tv actress in “Eva Fonda, 16″. 

Eva Fonda, 16 was first released in 1976 as a movie written by Pablo S. Gomez. The movie became a blockbuster and launched the career of Alma Moreno. It also paved the way for the bomba (sexy) films in the Philippines.
