ABS-CBN’s highly-rated game show, The Singing Bee, ended today but will be back “zoon”, with a much longer air time.
For its last episode, the show had the top six scholars of the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, namely Liezel, Cris, Bugoy, Van, Laarni, and Miguel. Liezel won, but unfortunately did not win over the show’s “final” season winner, Jen (texter).
The Singing Bee is hosted by Cesar Montano.
Quezon City councilor Aiko Melendez is making a comeback via “Your Song Presents: Someone Like You”, ABS-CBN’s afternoon show. Aiko will be playing Marge, a depressed woman who got duped by her husband-to-be. She will meet John Pratts, and they will be having an affair.
Governor’s daughter Gretchen Espina is the first Pinoy Idol winner.
She wins almost PhP 6 million worth of prizes, including a condo in avida, a 2008-model car, PhP 1 million pesos in cash, and contracts from BMG and GMA. Gretchen Espina won over Jayann Bautista and Ram Chavez.
It’s official! John Lloyd Cruz would be playing Armando Solis in I Love Betty La Fea, the Philippine franchise of the international hit Betty La Fea.
John Lloyd will then be playing opposite long-time on-screen partner Bea Alonzo, who would be playing Betty. Others in the cast are Vhong Navarro and Ruffa Gutierrez.
Ateneo Blue Eagles’ Chris Tiu will be hosting Believe it or Not show on GMA Kapuso Network. According to Chris Tiu, he’s been watching Believe It Or Not since he was a kid and he is honored to be hosting the show.
John Prats just inked recently another contract with Kapamilya Network. He will be doing some tv shows on the said network which includes Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo’s Tiny Tony and Your Song for the month of September.

Pinoy Idol has its final three and they are rocker Ram Chavez, governor’s daughter Gretchen Espina, and sexy Jayann Bautista. The three won over other Idol hopefuls Kid Camaya and Daryl Celis.
Pinoy Idol is the Philippine franchise of the hit singing show, American Idol. It is shown on GMA kapuso network with host Raymond Gutierrez and judges Wyngard Tracey, Jolina Magdangal, and Ogie Alcasid.
TV5 will have its launch at 7pm tonight, as a long-term blocktimer for the network ABC-5.
Among the shows it will feature are My MVP, The Philippines’ Scariest Challenge, Mys Match, Ogags, Lokomoko, Shall We Dancce, Midnight DJ, Have Baby Will Date, Rakista, batang X, and Talentadong Pinoy.
Ka Blog, a new show from GMA 7 Kapuso Network. It will air Next saturday August 9 at 10AM. The new show will target the general teens, anything about teen fashions, gadgets, teen relationship and sports.
The show is hosted by Andrea Torres, Mico Aytona, Lucky Mark Mercado and Monica Verallo. These are some of the young talents/reporters of the said network.
