The Philippines is in full gear today for its 110th Independence Day celebration. Two simultaneous events were held to celebrate the occassion — one at the Rizal park, with President Gloria macapagal Arroyo, and the other, at the Aguinaldo residence in Kawit, Cavit, with Vice President Noli de Castro.

The Independence Day holiday was moved early in June 9, for a long weekend.
