Actor and TV Host Cesar Montano announced yesterday that he declined the appoinment of the President as a film czar because he will be pursuing his candidacy as Governor in the upcoming 2010 elections. Montano, whose real name is Cesar Manhilot and a native of Baclayon in Bohol. He and his family felt honored by President GMA’s appointment of him as Presidential Special Envoy for Film and Digital Cinema but he regret to sayn he could not accept it since this will sidetrack his preparations for May 2010 bid. He also wanted to bring in change in Bohol politics for which he said was being “used by politicians for business interests. Meanwhile, his wife Sunshine Cruz said that she will give her full support to her husband on its political plans.
