Former Agriculture Secretary Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante might return to the Philippines now that hisasylum request had been denied by the United States Court of Appeals. Bolante flew to the US when the Senate issued a warrant of arrest against him to make him “talk” regarding the so-called “fertilizer scam”.

Bolante, however, will be returning to the Philippines a “freeman” as the warrant of arrest had already expired (it is only valid for six months) and becuase no formal criminal charges were filed against him.
