Last year, Senator Manny Villar passed a resolution in Senate for Dolphy to be regarded as a National Artist. He also asked Cultural Center of the Philippines Chairperson Emily Abrera the same concern.

Now, people in the Philippine entertainment industry are joining the call for the Comedy King to be regarded as among the country’s National Artist. Incidentally, Dolphy will be starring in a new movie, Dobol Trobol, opposite Vic Sotto.
