According to Sunshine Cruz’ lawyer Atty. Bonifacio Alentajan two cases of libel were filed against Cesar Montano’s Sister Mercedes Manhilot-Cantu. “She made malicious publications against Sunshine in the Internet including character assassination,” says Atty. Alentajan. Sunshine added that the rumors spreading regarding her annulment of marriage with Cesar is not true. Cantu alleged that her rift with Sunshine began years ago when her and Cesar’s mother was kicked out of their house and when Cesar’s daughter from an earlier marriage, Angela, was deprived of her room by Sunshine in the said house. As to the libel cases against her, Cantu said, “”I don’t see any reason to take it seriously after all. Kasi I’m an Italian citizen, the Philippine court has no jurisdiction over me.”
