Grandslam actress Lorna Tolentino will be moving to kapamilya network ABS-CBN where she is set to do a soap opera with come-backing actor, now singer, Gabby Concepcion.
Lorna Tolentino recently was accompanied by her manager, Lolit Solis, when the actress said her goodbyes and appreciation to the kapuso network top executives.
Gabby Concepcion wants his contract with his manager, film producer Rose Flaminiano, terminated. In a report, Rosa Flaminiano said Gabby signed a five-year contract with him, and would be allowing her lawyers to resolve this contract issue. If not, then it would be okay for her to just “freeze the contract” for five years. In a recent TV Patrol report, however, Gabby had already asked for the termination of his contract.
Gabby COncepcion is now regularly seen in abscbn show, Iisa Pa Lamang, opposite Claudine Barreto.
Gabby Concepcion has no problems if “Dear Heart”, a movie he shared with ex-wife Sharon Cuneta, will have a remake. It is to be remembered that Sharon earlier said she’s not amenable to any “Dear Heart” remake unless it would be their daughter KC on the role.
Gabby, on the other hand, said he doesnt mind, even adding that Danny Zialcita could even direct the film (being the original director), as he might have other views about the movie.
Matinee Idol Gabby Concepcion is excited for the movie he will be shooting under GMA Films. Iza Calzado is said to be among those being eyed to be Gabby’s leading lady. It will be remembered that Gabby’s camp’s decision to sign a contract with ABS-CBN caused a drift with the kauso film outfit, but now, things are being settled by both parties.
Gabby is the father of mega-daughter KC Concepcion.
Iisa Pa Lamang is the newest teleserye from ABS-CBN to be starred by Claudine Baretto and Gabby Concepcion. This will be directed by Ruel S. Bayani and Manny Palo and shooting will start this week. Other stars on the said teleserye are Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, Matt Evans, Melissa Ricks, Cherie Pie Picache and Ms. Susan Roces.
Former heartthrob Gabby Concepcion appeared to be nervous when he shot an episode of ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya. Gabby again faced the camera after 13 years of hibernation. He decided to migrate in the U.S. after prominently figuring in the so-called Manila Film Festival scam, supposedly engineered by his erstwhile manager, Lolit Solis. Observers say that Gabby is now more watchful in choosing projects as he doesn’t want to upset his fans. Portraying an anti-hero role is far from his mind. Incidentalaly last week, showbiz reporter Joebert Sucaldito filed charges and wants to collect P2 million as damages against Gabby and his manager for allegedly refusing to honor an advertisement contract.
