Gretchen Barreto leaved the country for a one month vacation in New York together with her daughter Domique. She will also be there to watch over for her daughter’s training in a theater camp. After that, she will start taping a Teleserye with her sister Claudine Barretto. She also revelead that the role they will be portraying were sisters and they were about to surprise the televiewers. She’s also greatful that she will be working with her sister, the Teleserye Princess of ABS-CBN. Her album, complicated was recently given a Gold record award.

Gretchen Barretto was reportedly underwent an operation due to appendisitis that happened last Saturday. She went through an MRI procedure to avoid any complications to her body. According to a source that gave the information to journalonline, Gretchen is now doing great and is now recovering from her operation. Before that, Gretchen was complaining of backache as she came all the way from her series of shows in Singapore.

Complicated is also the carrier single of the album, and was written by singer Rachelle Ann Go. It is produced by Louie Ocampo.

This is something new, we are not talking about kapuso o kapamilya new tv shows but rather its the TV5 new show entitled “You & Me Against the World” which will be hosted by Gretchen Barretto. In the said show fabulous prizes will be given every week. The jackpot prize is P1million.

Gretchen Barretto will be hosting TV5’s newest game show, You and Me Against the World, airing on the channel on November 23. The show is a spin off of ABS-CBN’s 1 versus 100, hosted by Edu Manzano. One million pesos is at stake every episode.

The country’s longest running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya, will be moved to a new timeslot — that’s Saturday, right after Pinoy Dream Academy.

No less than Gretchen Barretto will open the anthology in its new slot, as it celebrates its 17th anniversary. Gretchen plays the wife of a poor man, played by Tonton Gutierrez, and will also star Philip Salvador, as the town mayor.

It was Ruffa Gutierrez who came to Gretchen Barretto’s rescue when a restaurant at Dusit Hotel did not honor Gretchen’s credit card. Gretchen was supposed to treat her friends which included Pops Fernandez, Ruffa, a certain Josie and sister Marjorie recently.  It turned out that Gretchen’s credit card was rejected when swiped at the machine to pay for the amount of P4,300.  To save La Greta from embarrassment, Ruffa decided to foot the bill.

A shampoo commercial will feature as endorsers the so-called Most Beautiful Women of 2008, namely beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez, TV soap princesses Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Baretto and controversial “kissing lady” Gretchen Barretto. Considered to be a casting coup in the ad industry, the four ladies represent her own genre of beauty and class. Some say that their combined “powers” of endorsing a beauty product do not really assure wider patronage from the buying public but it could definitely shape up their careers towards a mutually beneficial end, perhaps a movie featuring the pretty quartet.
