As boxing champ Manny Pacquiao will face old rival and reigning lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, they will be having a World Press Tour 2011. GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) will present to Pinoy boxing fans the prelude of the third face-off between Filipino boxing pride Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Mexican bet Juan Manuel Marquez.

Boxing champ and Pinoy pride Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao ranked second in the 20 highest-earning international athletes in the world listed by Fortuante 50. With, 52,500,00 dollars, Pacquiao placed second to Switzerland Tennis athlete Roger Federer.

To date, Pacman, a Filipino boxer and congressman earned more than $50 million for two bouts over the past 12 months.

New World Boxing Council (WBC) super welterweight title holder Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao recently got the 8th place on Forbes Magazine’s richest athletes last July 2010. Sure to come Pacquiao’s elevation in rank after his fight against Margarito.

Ensured with a guaranteed fight prize of 15 million US dollars (around 645 million pesos), he got additional 5 million US dollars from the pay-per-view.

According to ESPN sports analyst Dan Rafael, Pacquiao earned a total of roughly 20 million US dollars or 860 million pesos from his battering of Margarito on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) in Arlington, Texas.

Pacquiao, the world’s pound-for-pound boxing hero, claimed his 8th title after trashing Margarito.

Youtube sensation Charice Pempengco has expressed desire to sing the National Anthem (Lupang Hinirang) in the up-coming, highly-anticipated boxing match between people’s champ Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton.

The fight is set on May 2 at Las Vegas.

Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao got a perfect 300 points from 30 boxing writers worldwide, in Yahoo’s unofficial boxing poll for February.

He beat Juan Miguel Marquez (who got 261 points), Israel Vasquez ( 205 points), Bernard Hopkins (175.5 points), and Shane Mosley (131 points)

Pacquiao’s next match is with Ricky Hatton, scheduled on May 2, in Las Vegas.

People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao is all set to fight David Diaz this coming June 28 (June 29, Philippine time) at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao, who will be fighting his first lightweight division, claims he is much stronger now that he need not go on a diet while training. The boxing champ also says he has more energy now since he could eat a bit more.

President Arroyo gives conditional pardon to nine Magdalo soldiers during the turn-over ceremony for the new AFP Chief of Staff Alexander Yano. The executive clemency wasgiven by Arroyo based onthe recommendation of outgoing Cheif Esperon. Arroyo also praised former Chief of Staff Esperon for a job well done, inculding the combat of terrorists in the country, CPP-NPA, and peace in Mindanao.

People’s champ Manny Pacquiao has already began training in his hometown General Santos City. Pacquiao also confirms that this is in preparation for his fight with WBC Light Weight Champion David Diaz, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 28, 2008.

Pacquiao is scheduled to leave for America on May 10 where he will continue his training at the Wild Card Gym.
