Pinoy Dream Academy 2 Grand Champion Laarni Lozada is happy for Bugoy Drilon’s success. She also said that she’s graduating now (college) that’s why she’s not that visible. Sha has an album at star records.

Honorary scholar Poy chooses Laarni as her first “regular scholar to beat”. With this, Poy must be able to win the jurors’ nod more than Laarni could so she could take home PhP50,000.00. If she beats three scholars, she gets to be a “regular” eligible to win the million grand prize.

Gary Valenciano visited the scholars of the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, and imparted with them a few important lessons in singing and in life, sharing to them the value of expressing than trying to impress.

Mr. Pure Energy also performed two songs: Shake it Off (with Uberture host Billie Crawford dancing along), and the remix version of Shout for Joy.

It’s second gala night for the little Pinoy Dreamers. Tonight, they will pay tribute to the Smokey Mountain, the singing group formed by Mr. Ryan Cayabyab.

Asian superstars Wu Chun and Calvin Chen are in Manila for two-days, exciting Filipino fans of the hit Taiwanese soap, “Romantic Princess”, which airs on kapamilya network ABS-CBN.

The two had a series of guestings, first stop of which was “Entertainment Live!”. The two also sang in last night’s Pinoy Dream Academy gala night. Catch more of Wu Chun and Calvin Chen today on ASAP ’08 and The Buzz.

Sweethearts Bea and Miguel, scholars of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, are under probation this week after getting the lowest score for their gala performance tonight. The couple sang “Araw-Gabi” by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

The other pair who got low scores are Cris and Hansen who sang Tina Arena’s “Burn”. Cris was saved by the judges while Hansen by his co-scholars.

Liezel Garcia got the Star Scholar tag for the third time (three in a row) at the Pinoy Dream Academy. She was joined in the top three places by co-scholars Christian and Vans.

For the third gala performance night, the scholars were asked to sing songs that would pay tribute to their bestfriends. Judges for the night were Gerard Salonga, Louie Ocampo, and Rachel Ann Go.

Scholar Sheng got expelled at the Pinoy Dream Academy after getting only about 48.93% of the total votes. She is the first officially expelled scholar from the academy (Chivas got expelled for health reasons).

Jet Singh, the scholar who beat Sheng at the voting game, said he would have wanted Sheng to stay since she needed it more.

Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 scholar Liezel Garcia strikes two after she was again named the star scholar of the 2nd gala night. The other top scholars are Bugoy and Laarni. Chivas, who got a forced expulsion days ago also performed. He sang Just like a Pill by Pink.

Chivas and Bunny, the married couple scholars of the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, are together again — this after Bunny’s group, One Voice, decided to let her go and be with her husband at the Pupilars team.

The couple was also serenaded by the scholars with “Always”, their theme song. They celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary yesterday inside the academy.

Videojock Jet Singh is the 16th Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Scholar. He replaced Consuelo Osorio, daughter of director Bebong Osorio, who backed out of the competition for personal reasons.

Jet got more than half of the total percentage of the votes with 51.70%. He beat fellow wait listers Hera “Banig” Redoblado of Davao (The Fighting Davaoeño), Catherine “Poy” Palma (The Obedient Daughter), and Lambert Reyes of Bulacan (The Singing Engineer).

The 10th scholar to enter Pinoy Dream Academy is Maria Liezel Garcia. Liezel left her job in Dubai just to try to reach her dream here in the Philippines.

The sixth scholar to enter the Academy is 21 year old Kristina Pastor from Paranaque. She is designer by profession. She is something to watch so far as she has the look and the voice.

The first scholar to enter Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 is 25 year old Hansen Nichols. He his a cancer survivor from taguig.
