Pinoy Dream Academy 2 Grand Champion Laarni Lozada is happy for Bugoy Drilon’s success. She also said that she’s graduating now (college) that’s why she’s not that visible. Sha has an album at star records.

It’s the 8th Gala Performance Night at the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. Here’s the official list of songs the scholars are to perform, as chosen by the mentors:

Apple: Anita Baker’s “Sweet Love”; Bugoy: George Michael’s “As”; Cris:  Jordin Spark’s “Tattoo”; Sen: Side A’s “Hold On”; Bunny: “Lady Marmalade”; Inaki: “Spain”; Laarni: Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”; Liezel: The Emotion’s “The Best of My Love”; Miguel: Spandau Ballet’s “True”; Van: Bamboo’s “Tatsulok”; and Poy: Barbara Streisand’s “A Piece of Sky”.

Poy andBugoy will also be having a showdown. The two would be singing Regine Velasquez’ Narito Ako.

Scholar Christian is expeled from the Pinoy Dream Academy tonight. Inaki then, completes the Maestro List of Ten. It’s also announced that an honorary scholar will be joining the scholars, Poy of Zamboanga. Poy, being an honorary scholar, could be a regular scholar if she gets to beat the scholar during the gala performances (where she would win PhP50,000.00).

Scholar Bea is now out of the Pinoy Dream Academy after getting about 25.15% of the total votes. Her boyfriend Miguel, who was also under probation, stays.

The two were on probationary status after failing to impress the jurors when they sang Regine Velasquez’ Araw-Gabi. In last night’s gala performance, the pinoy dreamers were asked to sing sensual songs.

Sweethearts Bea and Miguel, scholars of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, are under probation this week after getting the lowest score for their gala performance tonight. The couple sang “Araw-Gabi” by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

The other pair who got low scores are Cris and Hansen who sang Tina Arena’s “Burn”. Cris was saved by the judges while Hansen by his co-scholars.

Scholar Sheng got expelled at the Pinoy Dream Academy after getting only about 48.93% of the total votes. She is the first officially expelled scholar from the academy (Chivas got expelled for health reasons).

Jet Singh, the scholar who beat Sheng at the voting game, said he would have wanted Sheng to stay since she needed it more.

The Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 has Laarni and Inaki as its first probationary scholars. They were originally four, but Christian was saved by the mentors, and Bea by her co-scholars.

Chivas and Bunny, the married couple scholars of the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, are together again — this after Bunny’s group, One Voice, decided to let her go and be with her husband at the Pupilars team.

The couple was also serenaded by the scholars with “Always”, their theme song. They celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary yesterday inside the academy.

Videojock Jet Singh is the 16th Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Scholar. He replaced Consuelo Osorio, daughter of director Bebong Osorio, who backed out of the competition for personal reasons.

Jet got more than half of the total percentage of the votes with 51.70%. He beat fellow wait listers Hera “Banig” Redoblado of Davao (The Fighting Davaoeño), Catherine “Poy” Palma (The Obedient Daughter), and Lambert Reyes of Bulacan (The Singing Engineer).

Four dreamers of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 are on the waiting list: Hera “Hera” Redoblado, Lamberto “Lambert” Reyes, Catherine “Poy” Palma, and Ranjit “Jet” Singh.  Their fate will depend on your votes.

11th Scholar to Enter the Academy is 18 year old Apple Abarquez from Cebu.
12th Scholar to Enter the Academy is 25 year old Christian Alvear.
13th Scholar to enter the Academy is 22 year old Jovannie Malunda. She is also the husband of another scholar chivas.
14th Scholar to enter the Academy is 18 year old Rafael Ignacio Ting  or known as Iñaki.
15th Scholar to enter the academy is 21 year old Laarni Losala from Sultan Kudarat.

The fourth pick and scholar to enter Pinoy Dream Academy is 18 year old Van Louelle Pojas. He admitted that is he still not a full blown singer. Making it to the academy will help him improve what missing on his singing style.

The first scholar to enter Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 is 25 year old Hansen Nichols. He his a cancer survivor from taguig.

International Pinoy RnB Pop star Billy Crawford will be joining this season’s Pinoy Dream Academy. With him are Nikki Gil and Toni Gonzaga. Ryan Cayabyab will be headmaster, and mentors are Performance Master Director Joey Reyes, Voicemaster Kitchy Molina, and Voice Mentor Monet Silvestre.

Grand opening of PDA Season to is on June 14. PDA Uberture starts June 16 at 5:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
