Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez was recently launched as the new Bench endorser as she introduced Reigne and Songbird perfume for HerBench. The launch was made last August 28 at the Atrium Lobby of SM Mall of Asia where she had a mini concert . It was attended by Bench owner, Mr. Ben Chan, Mr. Biboy Arboleda, Are You the Next Big Star? Regine Velasquez recently admits that the reason why she’s not present in Charice Pempengco’s concert is because she had A-H1N1 virus. It was the first time that our local celebrity admitted of having the said virus. Meanwhile, she expressed her sincere apologies for Charice because of her condition that time. Regine took a two weeks rest and she recovered. She also advised that we must take good care of our immune system and take adequate rest and sleep to make ourself protected from virus.
Judy Anne Santos teams up with Ogie Alcasid for a new movie under Regal Films, “OMG (Oh My Girl)”. The romantic comedy film is said to have been conceptualized by Ogie’s girlfriend, Regine Velasquez.

Songbird Regine Velasquez prefers a simple wedding — and even jokes about a wedding at famous and high-traffic fastfood chain Chowking, where she would be with her family and closest friends. Regine also says that she’s ready to get married, and that she has found the one.
Regine is busy promoting Urduja, the first full length Filipino animated films.
Ogie Alcasid, one of the country’s premier song artist and composer, will be celebrating his 20th year in showbusiness with the concert, 20/20 on September 27.
Girlfriend Regine Velasquez, Asia’s songbird will play part in the event, which will also feature a full orchestra by Gerald Salonga, and will be directed by Rowell Santiago and for tv, Louie Ignacio.
Urduja will be released in theaters on June 18, 2008. This is the first 100% Pinoy full-length animation film, and is produced by Tony Tuviera’s APT Entertainment and Isang Seventoon at Imaginary Friends Production. The film features the voices of Cesar Montano and Regine Velasquez.

More Pinoys will now have a chance to catch Ms. Regine Velasquez, one of the Philippines’ foremost music artists, perform, through her new 45-minute show, Songbird. The latest GMA7 kapuso offering will showcase “first-rate performances” from Regine, as she pays tribute to the world’s best music legends and artists.
Songbird will also be featuring a different theme each week, with Regine doing about 7 to 8 songs each week. Watch Songbird every Thursday, after Legend, at the GMA7 kapuso network, for the Pinoy ultimate tv concert night experience.
With Bea Alonso set to play Betty in the hit telenovela Betty La Fea, Regine Velasquez will be playing Kim Sam Soon in the pinoy version of the koreanovela.
Mark Anthony Fernandez will be playing Regine’s love interest in the telenovela. Others who will be in the production are Tessie Tomas, Vangie Lbalan, Eugene Domingo, John “Sweet” Lapuz, Carmi Martin, Wendell Ramos, and Dr. Hayden Kho.
Kim Sam Soon will be shown on the kapuso network, GMA7.
It’s official! ABS-CBN Kapamilya network yesterday announced Bea Alonso as the Pinoy Betty La Fea. This came after controversies with Regine Velasquez resigning from GMA7′s SOP, wanting to get the role. Other actresses who were rumored to be considered as Betty are Anne Curtis (who did Kampanerang Kuba) and Kim Chui, who will be doing the Pinoy version of the koreanovela My Girl.
Betty La Fea, or “Yo soy Betty, la fea” is a telenovela from Colombia, produced by RCN network. A number of versions have already been produced in different countries, most recent of which is US’ Ugly Betty.
