Department of Justice (DOJ) dismissed the libel suit Richard Gutierrez filed against the entertainment Web site (PEP) specifically against editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, managing editor Karen Pagsolingan and writer Ferdinand “Bong” Godinez. The libel cases has started back in April 2009 when PEP reportedly that Gutierrez pointed a gun at another actor during a fight.

Philippine Entertainment Portal or PEP declares its readiness to defend itself after actor Richard Gutierrez slammed them with a 25 million peso libel suit for a report that got published on the entertainment website. PEP earlier apologized for the publishing of the article and took it off immediately from the site.

Kapuso actor Richard Gutierrez is determined to file a case against POP, or Philippine Entertainment Portal. The actor said he worked hard for his name, and that he wont allow anybody to ruin the name he built for himself.

Actor Richard Gutierrez is reportedly still thinking of filing a case against PEP for an article they uploaded about the actor having a “confrontation” with Michael Flores. PEP is reportedly prepared just in case.

For Richard Gutierrez’ birthday, megadaughter KC Concepcion gave him a turtle. The turtle “gift” came complete with its own aquarium. As for the reason why a turtle was given instead of any other gifts, KC relates to Ruffa (reports say) that when they went to Palawan, Richard “went gaga over a pawikan”.

Eddie Gutierrez has been recently released from St. Luke’s Medical Center where he underwent a heart operation (angiogram). His wife, Annabelle Rama wishes to thank all who supported them. The couple’s son, popular actor Richard Gutierrez, footed the bill.

Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion’s first movie, “For the First Time”, raked PhP14 million in its opening day, and is being expected to earn more during the weekend.

GMA kapuso network’s main men Dingdong Dantes and Richard Gutierrez remain friends despite the controversies that haunt them brought about by the Blackout Bench underwear and denim fashion show last July 25 at the Araneta Coliseum.

The issue sprung out when Dingdong supposedly got a better audience reaction than Richard. Dingdong is a Bench Body (underwear) endorser, so the “stunt” he did is part of his image as a Body endorser.

KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez are in Greece for a week for the shoot of their movie, For the First Time, under Star Cinema. The two left last July 13. In an interview with PEP, Richard and KC said that the movie is a “story on how two imperfect people find the perfect love.”

The two also recently had a shoot for the movie’s music video.
